Venerable Obhasa 

Venerable Obhasa is a Hong Kong-born Bhikkhuni in the Zen tradition originally. Vernerable is a postgraduate student of Buddhism in Taiwan, Buddhist & Pali studies in Sri Lanka, and Buddhist Counseling study in Hong Kong. She started following Bhante Vimalaramsi in 2015 in Indonesia and has four years of meditation and  many months of teacher training with Bhante in India, Indonesia, Maylasia and in the U.S.. Venerable was certified as a meditation teacher at Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center in 2018.

The venerable has also conducted voluntary works in South East Asia. She has visited the elderly centers in Hong Kong, the women’s prison in Indonesia, and hospital sickness visits around Asia. Also, Venerable has been working closely for Hong Kong schools and designed and led a series of meditation workshops for students, teachers, and parents. Her valuable leadership for the workshops has given the wholesome mind to all that seek wisdom and compassion in their lives.​

In 2022, Venerable Obhasa lead a 12-day temporary ordination at DSMC.

Venerable volunteers to teach and lead works for the Samatha Vipassana Trust headquartered in India. ​
