Bhante is distinguished American Buddhist monk with more than 40 years practice in meditation. He is regarded as a master meditation teacher and leads retreats in Europe, Asia, and North America. Bhante is founder and abbot of the Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center near Annapolis, Missouri. He is the American representative to the World Buddhist Summit and Conferences.
Bhante teaches tranquil wisdom insight meditation – the earliest form of vipassana or mindfulness meditation – a method taught by the Buddha and described in the earliest Buddhist texts.
He offers personal one-on-one guidance to each person to facilitate progress in their meditation practice.
