2013 Class Schedule

Beginning Tuesdays at 7:00–8:30 pm, Tuesdays, Nov 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2013, Presidio Branch Public Library, San Francisco
These FREE drop-in sessions are open to the public. They offer participants practical meditation instructions for training that deconditions the mind of worry, anxiety, and stress. The instructions are the original meditation methods as described in earliest Buddhist sources. The practice exercises are easy to understand, enjoyable to learn, and immediately effective.
Participants learn to:
• Cultivate the building blocks that awaken greater mental clarity, happiness, and tranquility.
• Decondition the root causes of negative habitual tendencies and distress.
• Change channels and apply principles of “selective thinking” that rebalance mental and emotional attitudes.
• Develop a holistic and sustainable mental health practice that is compatible with active lifestyles.
• Understand why the Buddha is smiling.

Muni: Take the California St. #1 to Presidio St. Walk one block to the library.
Parking: There is plenty of free on-street non-metered parking. Secured public parking is available at the JCCSF located two blocks from the library at 3200 California Street. Parking lot entrance on California Street. Enter from westbound lanes only. Parking garage open until 10:30 pm. First 4 hours: $3:50 per half hour.
